“There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to growth – not starting and not going all the way”

The you who knows

There is the you who knows,
knows that you are listening,
there is the you who knows,
knows you are seeing,
there is the you who knows,
knows you are thinking,
there is the you who knows,
knows you are experiencing,
there is the you who knows,
who knows you are here now,
the you who knows is you,
the you that thinks, feels and believes,
is the imagined you.

author - you.

Philosophies and values for this life

I value spiritual health above all else;
I value emotional health over physical health;
I value physical health over work commitment and accomplishments;
I value all health, well-being and heart-felt connection over financial gain and possessions.

The value of heart-felt connection overrides the perceived fears that act to isolate me;
Acts of isolation are the work of the ego, never the heart, and are always to the detriment of I.

I do not seek a sense of worth through achievement – my worth is innate;
I do not seek out or act to gain recognition, praise, adulation or mind-connection – that is the path of the ego;
I act only to gain heart-felt connection, this is my signpost towards complete awareness.

Growth and change are easy, if I am easy and light in life;
Growth only comes in the face of resistance – the resistance felt at the growth edge is my ever present guide to making decisions that deliver me to my true beingness;
My true beingness is love, patience, kindness, understanding, generosity and heart-felt connection – it is all these things to an endless degree, forever.

The mind is the ego that seeks to take me away from my true beingness;
The state of the body reflects the history held by the mind from which I have not yet broken free.

I am the universe and will endure far beyond this life;
I chose this life and the players within it with good reason, even if those reasons are not yet clear to me;
I take with me to the next life the growth and unfolding from this one;
The greater the growth and the longer the life, the further along my ultimate path I will have travelled.

I am not a body, I am love;
I am free, I am easy.

Last Night

Last night I contemplated death
The taking of my final breath
A life once lived, now all past tense
Across the veil, the final fence

The endless road
The one most travelled
When the script of life
Becomes unravelled

The bound up meaning of a life
Is all released, for endless flight
If, and where it lands who knows?
It’s the greatest question we can pose

Whatever meaning we can gleam
A God or natural machine?
I contemplate a life well lived
Receiving, balanced with the give

Did a moral compass at my core
Guide my decisions at each door?
Enveloped in the grace of faith
or aimless wander, lost in space?

Seek, they say, and you shall find
I say look within your mind
And then beyond, and deeper still
To a place that even life can’t kill

That never lived and never dies
It’s there my inner wise resides
Unrippled pool, a steady state
No dramatic scenes or fierce debate
No body left to medicate
There is no stress, there is no weight / wait

So live your life as you would live
But balance taking, with the give
Appreciate the simple things
And you might live the life of kings

And know that bliss and joy are found
In noticing the world around
Maybe in the end, this is the rent
So heed the call, BE, the present.

The Earth is Calling 111

The Earth is calling, 111
… wonder if anyone will come
Rivers muddy, sky is red
Veins of life, being slowly bled

Winds of change, cyclonic charge
Blows the knots away, global massage

Heavy weather warm and wet
Soak in your coat, lest we forget
the gathering storm, of stale ideas
slowly choking atmospheres

Light in mist, a haloed moon
Beams down a message
Through the gloom
Veiled signs track through the sky
An old war wound, from days gone by

Einstein’s theory comes to naught
when energy is of a sort
that starves the world
of bold ideas
of truth and peace
of saints and seers

Distracted minds, no time to hear
Just having fun, or having fear
If we do not heed, a wave will come
And sweep us all to Kingdom Come

But at THIS time, a choice remains
Go with the flow or pull the rains
Slow down, still, reflect a bit
Face your withdrawal, give up the hit

Evaporate, your current state
Fruitless cycles that satiate
Blindly driven, to abyss
for one more treat or one last kiss

I urge you on the Earths behalf
Lift the veil, drop the mask
Become what you were born to be
and let the Globe again be free

To breathe a sigh of true relief
Anchored in our new belief
That we can, each change, and stand as one …
The Earth is calling one, One, ONE

Life lessons

“You will receive a body and a family. You may like them or hate them, but they will be yours for the entire period of this time around.

You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant or stupid.

There are no mistakes only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error – experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work”.

A lesson is repeated until learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

“There” is no better than “here”. When your “there” has become a “here” you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here”.

Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need, what you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

The answers to life’s questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust.

You will forget all this.”
